I am not a gun freak or anything, but this gun is a Technological Marvel.
Its compact, well-made, durable(almost indestructible), reliable, and can be good
protection if you are safe and know how to use it.
I must also express my opinion about gun rights and how many Americans seem to be thinking these days. Please set aside all your current feeling about guns and gun crazies for a moment and hear me out. I do not think that shooting people is fun or glorious. Guns are sometimes used for evil things by evil people... and sometimes they are miss-used by people who are not evil. Either way, I understand that bad things can happen when guns are not used with common sense and respect. I still think however that guns are not evil. I am sure you heard the classic saying "guns don't kill people, people kill people." Well, think about it - There are many, many more people killed by cars every year than guns. I don't hear too many anti-gun people offering to give up their cars because cars kill people. I also know that making guns more difficult to obtain or making them illegal would not solve the problem. The only people affected by gun laws are people that follow the laws. Obviously, the people committing these horrible crimes with guns have no regard for the laws. Therefore, making more gun laws will not solve this problem. If there were some way to rid the world of guns completely, I promise that almost everyone of these people would find another way to commit the same crimes. They would use sticks, bats, knives, rocks, or anything they could find to cause injury. Look at prohibition; did that stop alcohol, or just cause more crime? The point is this. The nation, its people, the media, and anything I have not named refuses to take blame for wrong doing. People almost never admit that they did wrong. They will however try to point the finger and shift the blame in everyway possible. People are just not willing to admit when they do wrong, and other people want to make excuses for them. They blame video games, media, politicians, or anything they can think of in order to shift the blame off themselves. People are taught their entire lives that mankind is good, and therefore makes sense that we as a people would not want to accept the fact that not everyone is good. Whatever the cause, the fault goes to person who pulls the trigger, or gets behind the wheel when they are drunk... or whatever the situation. When people make choices, things will happen accordingly. Sometimes things workout for the better, sometimes for the worse. When good things workout, people try to claim responsibility, and when bad things happen, people turn their heads and say, "oh my, that's horrible." As I said before, if there was some way to totally rid the world of guns, then yes, it might stop death by guns. People would still find ways to kill people... and they would probably be as bad or worse than death by gun. I am sure if we got rid of every man-made object on the face of the planet, than we could stop all death by man-made objects. On top of that, thinking you could ever totally rid the world of guns is idealistic, it will probably never happen. Too many people have the knowledge and the idea of the technology. I am not saying we should accept gun related deaths, but I am saying lets not jump to conclusions before thinking the problem out clearly. If you have read down to this part, than I thank you for taking interest in my thoughts. Whether you agree or disagree with my points, I am still happy you have read my ideas. If you have any arguments I have not mentioned, please email me and I will post your ideas as well... and will probably write a few words discussing what you wrote. I am not to here to suppress anti-gun ideas. I am here to ask everyone to not be close minded or mislead by politicians who may have other motives than our safety. Well, those are my thoughts on this issue. |
