Paintball Sports.

This is a page to show and discuss paintball guns and sports. Paintball has to be one of the biggest rushes I have ever had that lasted all day. It is better than hunting simply because the prey fights back. Although this may be scary to those avid hunters, it sure does up the fun. Here are a few pictures of guns and some basic info about paintball.

I started playing paintball in my freshman year of high school and still play when I have money. Paintball can be pretty costly if you are not careful how you play and shoot your limited number of expensive paintballs. Don't get me wrong, it is well worth the money if you don't shoot like there was no tomorrow. It cost on average of about 5$ per 100 paintballs depending on the dealer and field. There is also Usually a (5$-10$)"field fee" if you are playing on someone's land or on a special field made for paintball. All together if you don't own a gun, it will probably cost about 30$-45$ to rent: a gun(15$), a Mask(5$), Field fee(5$), 200-500Paintballs depending on your style(15$), and play for about six games.

There are many different types of games and people make new ones up as they go. A few basic types of games are:

• Search and destroy.(S&D)
• Blisterball.(ouch)
• Capture da' flag.(most skilfull)
• Kick the Cone. (knock the big red cone over)

These are all fairly simple games that require a lot of good skill, bravery, and sometimes even stupidity. "Search and destroy"-You win by being the last team or person still alive at the end of the game. "Blisterball"-You start with one flag in the middle of the field and the goal is to get the flag and take it back to your teams starting place. It is called blister ball because whoever attempts to get the flag is going to get painted bad. "Capture the Flag"-Just like Blister-Ball but there are two flags one at each teams starting point.(you just grab the other teams flag and return it to your starting place.) "Kick the Cone"-You just have to kick over the cone at the other teams starting point.

• Paintgun.
• Paintballs(usually .68 caliber, about the size of a jawbreaker.)
• Paintball rated Mask.
• Camo, unless your bad,(I mean Michael Jackson BAD.)
• CO2 Air tank for power,(usually comes with the gun.)
• or Nitrogen power if you want to get fancy,(better power/more money.)
• Some old shoes or something you can run in.

A good mask is a very important item-it keeps your eyes from getting shot out. Make sure you are using a mask meant for paintballs coming at speeds over 300 feet/second. Most fields limit there guns to 300 ft/sec - if they don't, you might want to find another field or you will be playing at you own risk. It is a great game when played the right way ---- have fun.
